Song and Dance

Over centuries, Polish peasants have spent the cold, hard winters weaving and embroidering their Sunday clothes so they could present and show off their talent to the rest of the village. They danced and sang together to celebrate their rituals and traditions.

The PolArt 2018 folkloric concerts will take audiences on a visual and musical journey across Poland, with colour, vibrancy and movement

Folkloric concerts will be held at the QPAC Playhouse and Redland Performing Art Centre.

Bringing together 13 folkloric dance groups from across Australia and New Zealand, each concert promises to showcase the diversity, beauty and richness that is traditional Polish folkloric dancing. These events are for the entire family, and audiences will be captivated

by the technique, strength, choreography and passion of dancers, as they proudly showcase their Polish background and heritage.
